Having just returned from a one week vacation at Lanelle and Alan’s place we feel as rested and relaxed as we ever have after a break. The casita is lovely, and one of the most quiet places imaginable. If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it! The views are stunning: you can see changing views of the Red Rocks behind the casita during the day, or beautiful stars above in the evening. The Kayenta community is quite special, the architects make fabulous use of the terrain when placing homes throughout the lush desert vegetation. We brought all kinds of books to read and projects to do to keep ourselves occupied and brought them all back unopened or undone. The views were mesmerizing and more enjoyable than even a good book! Having two friendly cats (Jake and Maggie) to entertain us was all part of the charm. We enjoyed meeting Lanelle and Alan and had a lovely evening sipping wine on their veranda. We hope to return one day and continue to explore the area.
