Amsterdam offers museums, canals, historic buildings, cultural life and a surprising countryside to discover!

House number 1 is situated in IJburg a new upcoming neighbourhood of Amsterdam. It combines an urban atmosphere with an outdoor feel. Lakes, canals and a big park for hiking and biking. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. IJburg has its own beach with a cosy cafe/restaurant. Perfect public transport to the city. Biking and hiking routes available. IJburg is situated near the beauiful IJsselmeer and its pittoresque countryside with small typical Dutch villages.

House number 2 is situated in the popular east area of Amsterdam. Crowded with restaurants, shops, bars and museums. A daily open-air market is nearby. A cocktail of several cultures. Near the centre and the museums, canals etc. With a view on the nice Oosterpark for a relaxed stroll.

Of course it it possible to exchange just one of the two houses. Exchange does not necessarily have to be simultaneous since we have two houses.

Hi, We are Kees (49) and Brenda (53). We are living apart together in two apartments in Amsterdam. We combine the best of both worlds. Spending time together and have time on our own. Kees is working as a freelance spokesperson for different organisations. Brenda is working for a ministry in the Netherlands in an international environment. We are very much interested in culture, outdoor activities and our friends. We are are experienced travelers and like staying abroad as locals rather than as tourists. We have done earlier very nice swaps with Paris, Nice, Rome, Berlin and Grenoble.
