La nostra casa
The house is three years old and consists of two bedrooms, both with en-suite, a large living area and fully equipped kitchen. There's a deck with 5 metre pool and garden leading down to a small beach.
It's situated on Daku Resort, which we have owned for 6 years. The advantages of being on the resort land are considerable: Firstly, the house can be serviced everyday if you wish. Secondly, the resort facilities (restaurant, bar, boat, kayaks, yoga shala, massage etc) are available to you at any time. Thirdly, and somewhat less tangibly, you have the option of the company of travellers from all over the world, by going to the main resort buildings.
You can take the house for a month or take two different two week periods to suit your holiday requirements.
What's more, during the propsed exchange period, there are study courses in Writing, Painting,Yoga and Snorkeling, which you can attend at a reduced rate. Details can be found on www.dakuresort.com or www.paradisecourses.com.
I dintorni
Savusavu is tucked away on Fiji's northern island of Vanua Levu. It is little visited by tourists (approx 3% of visitors to Fiji) - most of whom stay on the main island of Viti Levu. It's a place to relax and enjoy the hospitality of a culture that is always smiling.
The house is a mile from the town of Savusavu with local shops, market, restaurants and yaught club.
This is a very quiet part of Fiji and it retains its 'Fijiness' - friendly, kind and relaxed.
Main activities here are water-based (the scuba diving is a standout) but there's also great hiking and birdwatching.

We (John and Delia) are a much travelled British couple (94 countries) with grown-up children.. We have rather fallen into resort ownership after varied business careers. Our intention is to take two month breaks regularly and exchange our house in Fiji. We also have a house in Sydney, Australia.
