Our apartment is an upscale duplex in new low-rise building in Herzelia in a great neighborhood at the border with Ramat Hasharon known as "Tzamarot".

Our 220sqm apartment is very bright and spacious, with new modern furniture. The downstairs area is our living space composed of a living & dining room with an open kitchen plan with a large balcony overlooking the neighborhood.

We have a large (very pink ;o) playroom full of toys, the bedroom of our daughters that can sleep 3 children if need be (1 crib, 1 normal bed + 1 pull-out bed) and the parents bedroom with a very comfortable California king sized bed. All rooms are full of light and clear furniture to keep it bright and airy. Of course, we also have A/C in all rooms. We have 2 bathrooms downstairs with washer & dryer.

The upstairs area is our office space (2 large desks & computers) and another very nice living room where our kids don’t play, the downstairs is their play area and the upper part ours ;o). We also have a large guest room upstairs, which serves as our guest/ storage room as well a 3rd large bathroom and a second balcony. We have a Wii upstairs and 2 large LCD TV, both upstairs and downstairs.

Our house is child-proof and very family-friendly! We also have a wonderful 9 year old Labrador, Charlie, who has traveled with us all extensively around the world. We would be happy to exchange with a family who is pet-friendly and can watch Charlie during their stay in our house and we would be most happy to return the favor when we stay at your house. Our daughters LOVE animals and Charlie doesn’t know he s a pet- he’s been a full member of our family since he’s born and is the kindest dog in the world, wonderful with children. We can also have Charlie stay at friends while we exchange houses.

We live in a great, extremely convenient, fun, safe, family-friendly and green neighborhood of Herzelia at the border between Herzelia and Ramat Harasharon, ”Tzamarot”. We do everything walking from home- all amenities are literally down our house from restaurants (Sushi Bazel- best sushi in Israel!, Café Kaze- great restaurant opened until midnight Israel!), all convenience stores, grocery, shopping etc, a minute from our home.every day, Café 111, pizzas etc.) to pharmacies opened 7 days a week until midnight (including Shabbat, a rare treat in

We also have over 8 recreation parks for children by our house with and a “golfiteque” one minute away: a mini golf with a trampoline and jumping castle for little ones. There is also a swimming pool (indoors during winter and outdoors with 2 kiddy-pools during the summer) less than 5 minutes walk from our home (“Neve Amirim”), that also has a gym. Our daughters love the neighborhood and so do we ;o)

And last but not least, we are 10 minutes drive from the most amazing beaches of Israel (Herzelia Pituah) and 15 minutes drive to Tel Aviv that has incredible cultural attractions, nightlife, dining, etc. You can drive to Tel Aviv, but also take a direct bus from our house to the heart of TLV. And everything in Israel is so close to one another, you will get to Jerusalem in less than 45 minutes to visit all the wonders of the Old City and birth place of all the religions, 1h to Haifa to visit the Bahai Garden, 2h to Tiberias to see the famous Kineret, and same time to experience floating on the Dead Sea or visit the Golan Heights with its beautiful rural landscapes and wineries …

We couldn't be better located for you to discover the Holy land or simply enjoy the best Israel has to offer: great culture, history, food, wine, people and beaches ;o)!

Our first floor is our office and the only thing we need to ask from families coming to our home is to be extremely careful with our work equipment (cameras/ large computers etc.) Our upstairs space is only for work and reading, our children do not play upstairs, but downstairs is as child-friendly as it comes!

We are extremely respectful of people’s belonging, and we trust you will take as good care of our house as we will of yours!

Maid service available (our maid comes in twice a week, it s no problem to keep the arrangement when you are in our home)

We travel a lot for work and are flexible with dates since our daughters are still young and we both work for ourselves.

We would be happy to consider a non-simultaneous exchange in August as we will be in Europe and for 2/3 months from November 2013 through January 2014 ideally in Thailand/ Vietnam, Australia/ New Zealand, but open to other destinations!

Our girls are little globe-trotters and already have stamps of prime ministers on their passports! We can’t wait to add more.

We are not set to any particular destination and open to discovering (or revisiting ;o) any place in the world!

We love the heat and the tropics, the pace of life in the developing world, the Caribbean, Europe, New York, Canada, South Africa, Latin America, South East Asia…

We love to meet new people, we like food, we love the water and swimming, the sun, laid back and relaxed atmospheres. We love to read and have a ton of books in our library (in French, English, German, Spanish & French).

We are a French-Israeli family who just moved back to Israel after 16 years of living abroad. We have 2 amazing daughters- Ella (5) and Lola (2 1/2) who were born in the US (Los Angeles) and Charlie, our 10 year old yellow lab (also born in LA ;o)

We speak English, French and Hebrew at home. We lived in the US for 9 years (DC & LA) and in Tanzania the last 2 years. We chose to come to Israel to settle down for a bit as traveling the world with 2 little ones had become quite difficult! But we miss traveling, and home-exchange seems to be a wonderful way to see the world without actually moving all our furniture ;o). We are new to this and very excited to try!

Julie (35) works as a photojournalist & communication consultant for UN agencies and most of her work takes her to Sub-Saharan Africa and Elad (38) trades stocks and lives at night with NY stock exchange.

Julie has lived in Paris, Quito, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Dar Es Salaam, Herzelia and forgetting some. Elad had lived mostly between Herzelia, DC, Los Angeles and Dar Es Salaam but also got the travel bug and can’t wait to see more of the world.

Since our little ones are still young and we both work for ourselves, it enables us to be very flexible as far as home-exchange and timing is concerned. We can also travel during/or outside of formal school holidays, also for extended periods of time should a good opportunity presents itself!
