We have a beautiful home In London's historic East End, oozing character and charm. The apartment is an open-plan factory conversion that has been lovingly restored with Victorian details including cast iron radiators and bath tub. The living room has antique leather furniture and a piano. The kitchen is in a 1950s style with original polished aluminium English Rose cabinets and industrial style lighting.

At just over 1500 sq ft the apartment is large, with three bedrooms (one of them currently set up as a nursery). The main bedroom is enormous and has polished victorian floorboards and velvet curtains. There are three outdoor roof terraces to use, one of which is huge and has fantastic views across London, including Victoria Park, The Gherkin and the Shard and other London landmarks, and in particular the Olympic Park and Stadium which is less than half a mile away. There are a number of sun loungers and barbecues for your use. The apartment is on the vibrant Roman Road, a short walk from Victoria Park and the village and from major transport links (The nearest Tube station is only 5 or 6
stops from the West end). There are a host of wonderful pubs, cafes and restaurants within walking or cycling distance.

The apartment has been used for a number of fashion shoots and articles in magazines. The current owners: a musician and an artist have a baby son and a dog so the apartment would particularly suit a family, and of course well-behaved pets are welcome.

Ideally, we're looking for home exchanges in Los Angeles and NYC during late Summer through late Autumn 2012, but open to other discussion and quite flexible with dates.

We are also interested in a home exchange in or around Central Rome.

After Autumn 2012, we are open to most possibilities, including Europe, Central & South America, USA, Iceland, and Asia.

We are a married couple, professional artist and musician, who have a baby son. We would love to exchange homes with a similar responsible couple or family who would like to enjoy all London has to offer.
