Our house is located in the South of France, near Toulouse, the fifth largest city in France, and also very close to the countryside.
The name of our village is : Balma (31130). We are situated at 5 km from centre of the city Toulouse. (Half an hour by bus metro, very easy). The Atlantic beaches are only a two hour drive, or if you prefer a hike in the mountains, the Pyrenees are within an hour’s drive.
Many picturesque villages and towns in the area, have a rich historical past, such as the city of Carcassonne.
Toulouse offers a choice of live performances, movie theaters, a casino, and many cafes with outdoor terraces around the Place du Capitole where you can enjoy a lazy afternoon. Unless your interest in Science prefers to take you to the Space City or the Airbus factories.
Notre maison est située dans le Sud de la France, près d'une grande ville, mais aussi très proche de la campagne.
Notre village est Balma (31130). Il est à 1/2h du centre ville (5 km) en bus metro. En une journée, vous pouvez vous rendre à la mer ou bien profiter de la montagne. Il y aussi de nombreux villages pittoresques à visiter dans les environs (La Cité de Carcassonne, Cordes, Lectoure, etc...) A Toulouse, vous pourrez aller au théâtre, au cinéma, au casino ou bien vous prélasser à la terrasse d’un des nombreux petits cafés autour de la Place du Capitole. A moins que vous ne préfériez visiter la Cité de l’Espace ou bien les chaines de montage de l’Airbus A380. |

Our neighborhood is residential and quiet, away from busy roads and close to the countryside.
However it is very easy to go downtown Toulouse by bus and subway to do one’s shopping, enjoy a movie, or a show.
Our neighbors are very friendly and will be pleased to help you if you need it. If you wish, we will be your host. You can relax in the sun by the swimming pool. When evening comes, you can enjoy a game of petanque while sipping a pastis, followed by a savory piece of beef grilled on the barbecue.
Le quartier où nous habitons est très calme, loin des grands axes routiers, et proche de la campagne toulousaine. Néanmoins, on peut se rendre facilement en ville avec bus et métro, faire des courses ou aller au cinéma et théâtre. Les voisins sont agréables et sauront vous aider si nécessaire. Ma maman peut aussi vous rendre visite si vous le souhaitez. Vous pourrez passer d’agréables moments autour de la piscine, allongé sur un bain de soleil . Le soir venu, autour d’une partie de pétanque, ce sera l’heure du pastis, avant de déguster une belle entrecôte grillée au feu de bois … |

My daughter works at present on Montreal. We are 5 persons and we wish to live near his(her,its) workplace which is Place(Square) Jacques Cartier. 2 or 3 rooms(chambers) will be enough for us.
Ma fille travaille actuellement à Montreal. Nous serons 5 personnes et nous souhaitons loger près de son lieu de travail qui est Place Jacques Cartier. 2 ou 3 chambres nous suffiront.

| La Gente |
François is the head of the family ; he(it) has responsibilities in a company of transport and sale of aggregates. Nadine, his wife, works half-time and takes care of the management of trainings(formations). In our family, the children are already big. They finished their studies and are in service professional, in France and abroad. Our pet turtle, Colinou, hides at the back of our garden.
François est le chef de famille; il a des responsabilités dans une entreprise de transport et de vente de granulats. Nadine, son épouse, travaille à mi-temps et s'occupe de la gestion de formations. Dans notre famille, les enfants sont déjà grands. Ils ont fini leurs études et sont en activité professionnelle, en France et à l’étranger. Nous avons un petit animal caché au fond du jardin : Robert la tortue.
