Our house is in a wonderful part of town close to the English speaking Library and the Market! Find homemade pastries, fresh tortillas, and a fabulous fruit, meat, flower market 4 minutes away! Only an 8 minute flat walk to el Centro and La Parroquia! Have you heard of La Aurora, the textile warehouse now filled with many designer shops, antique stores, and cafes...it is prob. a 10 minute walk in the other direction! The town offers numerous opportunities to study spanish, art, cooking, and exrcise! It is different from a beach vacation... people of all ages love San Miguel. It is hot during the day and cool at night. You can make your visit to SMA as busy or as laid back as you choose! Wake up early and go for a power walk up the hill to see the views of San Miguel de Allende. Then, head to el Centro to enjoy your coffee in the square. You can join a walking tour of the town from here. Vist art galleries, have a massage, or stroll around town taking pictures. Do you like to explore local crafts?! There is a market with local crafts and people scattered around town selling baskets, jewelry, textiles, and paintings! In the evening after a long lunch from 2-4 and perhaps a siesta you might take your group for a rooftop margarita at "La Azotea" or the new Rosewood Hotel! Catch one of the many art openings around town or hear some live mariachi music while strolling in the square. On a more active day you might play tennis or go play golf at the Club Malanquin. Hire our driver to take you on a tour of Guanajuato churches or potteries. Most people who visit want to return year after year!

House is furnished with beautiful locally made furniture; fabrics and artwork from Morocco, Ecuador, San Miguel. We are open to suggestions. !

My husband and I are horticulturist and an ceramic artist and who currently own and are very busy with a wholesale plant propagation business and production pottery. Hypatia often travels with their two boys(16 and 18), when they are out of school.
This was our second home that is now my Parents. When you make an inquiry I will need to check the calendar with them so it might take me a few days to confirm availability.
